An India Actress who has predominantly appeared in Bengali and Telugu films, Tridha Chaudhary started her career after winning the title Calcutta Times Fresh Face in 2011. With her debut movie Mishawr Rawhoshyo by Srijit Mukherji in 2013, Chaudhary made her way to the big screen. She has also appeared in TV serials, with her debut being Dahleez on the Star Plus channel in 2016. A few web series starring Tridha are Spotlight, Bandish Bandits and Aashram.

Born on Wednesday, 22nd November 1989, in Kolkata, India, to Trishna Choudhury and Ashish Chaudhary, Tridha is the only child of her parents. For her schooling, Choudhury was sent to M.P. Birla Foundation secondary school, and for her higher studies at Scottish Church College, where she pursued a degree in Microbiology. Tridha enjoyed dancing early on and participated in various school and college competitions. In 2011, she won the Clean and Clear Calcutta Times Fresh Face contest.

Tridha has been spotted with actor and film producer Akash Chatterjee repeatedly. By making public appearances, hanging out at parties and uploading pictures on Facebook and Twitter, Chaudhary gave us every right to believe that there exists a deep connection between the two. However, in an exclusive interview, Tridha cleared the air claiming that she and Akash have been good friends.

She loves hanging out with him but isn’t that what friends do. Chaudhary also joked about a cool idea of gifting Akash, a Girlfriend, on Valentine’s. Akash, however, had a different vision for a gift for her, which he later revealed to be a crystal pendant. We can either read between the lines or take it as it comes. 

Tridha was known to be dating co-actor Harshad Arora while working on the sets of Dahleez. The relationship, however, didn’t last long. Tridha also revealed that it’d be unfair to her partner if she decided to be in a relationship now, provided her busy schedule. Born in West Bengal, Tridha loves Bengali food, making it her favourite cuisine. Despite her petite figure and average height, Choudhury’s favourite sport is Basketball. She also loves watching cartoons, with Tom and Jerry topping the list.

A controversy went around about her character in Aashram, which was that of a sex worker, when the Actress, in an interview with The Free Press Journal, said, “Actors, especially women, are frequently sexualised after being cast in a particular role. As an actor, I know the limit of intimacy I have agreed to for a role in particular. In Aashram, I know my character is that of a sex worker, so the screen will be intimate.

But when I shoot for that, I am placing my trust in the entire film unit. People need to understand that when an actor has agreed to an intimate scene, a lot of effort has gone into it. It is not as if I am enjoying the experience of shooting that sequence. I feel the edit team of ‘Aashram’ could have done a better job and portrayed me more aesthetically,”

The actress has recently been seen on the screens with the second sequel of the web series Aashram. She will soon be seen in an upcoming movie, Shamshera, alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor. It is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language period action film produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films and directed by Karan Malhotra. The film will get released on 22 July 2022 in standard versions and IMAX.
