Let’s take a peek into Vikas Divyakirti’s early life. He was born on December 26, 1973, in Haryana, to a middle-class family. His father was a famous Hindi literature professor, and his mother was a teacher. Dr. Vikas Divyakirti has two elder brothers – one works as a software engineer in the US, and the other is a DIG at the CBI.

Vikas Divyakirti went to school in Bhiwani district, Haryana. He studied at Delhi University’s Zakir Husain Delhi College and earned a BA in Hindi. After that, he continued his studies and got postgraduate degrees in English and Hindi, along with MA, MPhil, and PhD qualifications. This strong educational background makes him one of the most qualified professors for UPSC exams in India.

After his studies, Dr. Vikas Divyakirti started teaching at Delhi University. At the same time, he prepared for UPSC exams and achieved an impressive AIR 384 in 1996. After a brief stint in the Ministry of Home Affairs, he decided to follow his passion for teaching and founded the Drishti IAS coaching center in Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar in 1999.
