Anupama Parameswaran started her acting career with the Malayalam film Premam (2015). She played Mary George, along with Nivin Pauly and Sai Pallavi, in the lead cast. The film became a commercial success and made her widely known.
After her debut, she appeared in Malayalam again with a cameo in James & Alice (2016). She then entered Telugu cinema with A Aa (2016), along with Nithiin and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
In 2016, she made her Tamil debut with Kodi. The main cast included Dhanush and Trisha Krishnan, with Anupama playing a key role as well.
