2006 — Debut: Devadasu

Pothineni made his acting debut with the box office success Devadasu (2006), for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South. This romantic drama was directed by Y.V.S. Chowdary. 

He played the title role of Devadas and instantly gained popularity for his energetic, youthful screen presence. 

The film became a major hit at the Odeon 70mm theatre, running for 175 days across 17 locations and eventually completing 205 days.

2007 — Jagadam

2008 — Breakthrough: Ready

2011 — Kandireega
