Avis Favaro Career
Avis Favaro began her television news career at Global Television in 1982. She started as a news writer and then worked as a reporter. She later became a medical correspondent there.
In 1992, she joined CTV News and became the medical correspondent for CTV National News.
Along with CTV National News anchors Lloyd Robertson and Lisa LaFlamme, she reported for the national newscast for decades, with a strong focus on health and medical issues.
Favaro has also worked on CTV’s investigative program W5. Along with W5 host Kevin Newman, she appeared in episodes where she reported health investigations.
