She is known for her work in South Indian cinema, mainly Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam films. 

Catherine made her film debut in 2010 with the Kannada film Shankar IPS. Over the years, she has acted in many popular films across many Indian languages.

Catherine Tresa was born to Malayali parents. Growing up in a regimented, academic-focused household, she was initially shy. 

Her parents encouraged her to step out of her comfort zone by enrolling her in music, dancing, and stage performances at an early age.

Catherine Tresa Career

Catherine Tresa started as a model and worked in many ads and ramp shows before films since she was 14. 

After moving to India, she modelled for Nalli Silks, Chennai Silks, Fast Track, Josco Jewellers, and Deccan Chronicle. 

Tresa has also shot for Srikantadatta Wodeyar’s Maharaja Calendar and collaborated with Prasad Bidapa in numerous ramp shows across India.

She made her acting debut in 2010 with the Kannada film Shankar IPS alongside Duniya Vijay. 

After that, she acted in Malayalam films like The Thriller with Prithviraj Sukumaran and Uppukandam Brothers: Back in Action with Srikanth and Honey Rose. 

In 2012, Catherine acted in the Kannada film Godfather with Upendra. 

Then, she moved into the Telugu film industry, debuting in the film Chammak Challo (2013) with Srinivas Avasarala. 

In the same period, Tresa appeared in Iddarammayilatho (2013) with Allu Arjun, which helped her get more attention in Telugu cinema. 

Her Tamil debut was Madras (2014), directed by Pa. Ranjith, where she played Karthi’s pair. 

Later, she continued working across languages, including films such as Rudhramadevi (2015), Sarrainodu (2016), and Nene Raju Nene Mantri (2017) and Nene Raju Nene Mantri.

In 2018, Catherine Tresa starred in one major theatrical release, the Tamil-language action-comedy “Kalakalappu 2” directed by Sundar C.

In 2019, Catherine Tresa co-starred with Siddharth in Aruvam. In the same year, Neeya 2, she co-starred with Jai.

In 2020, Catherine Tresa starred in the Telugu romantic drama World Famous Lover with Vijay Deverakonda, Raashii Khanna, and Aishwarya Rajesh.
