Early career: Radio in Estevan
Cole got his first taste of broadcasting on the Estevan Comprehensive School radio show while in grade nine.
After high school, he joined the local radio stations run by Golden West Radio. He began on air at CJ 1150 (CJSL) around age 17, later taking over an afternoon show.
He also worked on Sun 102 and Rock 106, and wrote for the online portal DiscoverEstevan.
Practicum and CTV News Yorkton
While studying at Assiniboine Community College, Davenport completed a six-week practicum with CTV Regina. That experience confirmed his goal of building a career in television.
