Late 1980s onward: Early career at CHUM and MuchMusic

Melchor began her broadcasting career at CHUM Limited, working as an entertainment reporter for Citytv in Toronto.

She rose to national attention as a host of the legendary hip hop program RapCity on MuchMusic, becoming a familiar face to young Canadian music fans.

2000 to 2005: Hollywood years in Los Angeles

In 2000, Melchor relocated to Los Angeles to expand her career.
