Cox is now offering a $44.99 per month discount to customers who bundle Cox Internet with Mobile. This offer is for 500 Mbps and 1 Gbps speed tiers. All Cox Internet plans now also include Cox Panoramic WiFi for 24 months, a $14 per month value.

Cox has set itself apart as an ISP by advertising its standard rates instead of limited-time promotional rates. It’s taking the same approach of delivering value at transparent prices for its cellular service.

What is Cox Mobile Gig Unlimited?

Cox Mobile Gig Unlimited is an affordable mobile plan that costs $45 a month. It includes unlimited data and unlimited texts and calls in the US. It also allows you to use your phone as a 5G mobile hotspot. With Cox Internet, you get access to over 4 million secure hotspots which you can use to conserve data.

If you use up 20 GB of 5G/4G data in a billing cycle, speeds are reduced to a maximum of 1.5 Mbps down and 750 Kbps up. You can use unlimited data at these speeds.

Updated Cox Internet Plans and Prices

All Cox Internet plans now include Panoramic WiFi for 24 months at no additional cost regardless of whether you add Cox Mobile. Standard rates for the equipment apply after the 2-year promotional period (currently $14 a month) but you can cancel the WiFi service at any time.

Cox Go Fast (100 Mbps) has remained unchained. It doesn’t have a discount offer with Cox Mobile, but Panoramic WiFi is included.

Here are the updated details of the 250 Mbps and faster Cox Internet plans.

Cox Go Faster

Cox Go Faster has a max download speed of 250 Mbps and a max upload speed of 10 Mbps. It also includes access to 4 million Cox WiFi hotspots whether you add Cox Mobile or not. There’s no term contract with either option.

Cox Go Faster now includes Panoramic WiFi equipment for 24. However, it doesn’t include the $44.99 per month discount with Cox Mobile.

Cox Go Even Faster

Go Even Faster features a max download speed of 500 Mbps and a max upload speed of 10 Mbps. This plan also includes access to Cox WiFi hotspots.

The standard everyday price is $89.99 a month, but adding Cox Mobile brings it down to just $45.00 a month. There are no term contracts or cancelation fees.

Cox Go Super Fast

Go Super Fast is a Gig internet plan with a max download speed of 1000 Mbps and a max upload speed of 35 Mbps. This plan also includes access to Cox hotspots. You need a Cox-approved DOCSIS 3.1 modem to get gig speeds.

The standard price of this plan is $119.99 a month. But Cox has a promotion that brings it down to $109.00 for the first 24 months. If you add Cox Mobile, you get a further $44.99 discount, bringing the price down to $65.00 a month. You can cancel at any time as there’s no term contract.

Cox Go Beyond Fast

Go Beyond Fast is the fastest Cox Internet plan with a max download speed of 2000 Mbps and a max upload speed of 100 Mbps. This plan also requires a Cox-approved DOCSIS 3.1 modem to handle such huge downstream and upstream bandwidths.

Go Beyond Fast currently doesn’t have a discount with Cox Mobile, but it now includes Panoramic WiFi equipment for 24 months. The standard everyday price of this plan is $149.99 a month. This plan is not available in all markets. Contact Cox customer service for more information.

Unchanged Cox Internet Features

Transparent Pricing

Most major ISPs gain new customers by advertising internet offers at discounted promotional rates with additional free services. Once the promotional period is over, the price goes up to the local standard rate and you start paying for the additional services initially added for free.

But internet service isn’t a one-time purchase, you’ll be paying the monthly fees for years until you decide to switch. Most ISPs offer low promotional prices and make up for them with high post-promotional rates. Many ISPs also deliberately make it difficult for you to find their standard prices to get an idea of how much you’ll be paying in the future.

Additionally, ISPs often have different standard rates in different markets, which may depend upon local competition. If you don’t have any other high-speed internet ISP you can switch to, the ISP may charge you more.

Cox is one of the few ISPs that offer internet service at standard everyday low prices. Cox’s standard rates can go up too, but not nearly as sharply as the price hikes of other ISPs. Prices are also the same everywhere—even in areas where Cox offers all-fiber internet. Other costs are also disclosed on offer pages and there are no hidden fees.

Elite Gamer

Standard internet protocols may route your gaming traffic to take a long to the server, resulting in high latency. When you’re gaming online, you need a consistently low ping for a responsive experience.

Elite Gamer is a gaming VPN that’s designed to bring down the ping by finding a shorter path for your gaming traffic to the server. It currently supports over 150 popular online games. Elite Gamer is free for Cox customers who have Panoramic WiFi.

Panoramic WiFi Gateway and Pods

The Panoramic Getaway is a combination of an advanced modem and a powerful router. It’s equipped to deliver the fastest speeds available via Cox and provide wall-to-wall wireless coverage. Cox also makes sure the firmware is up to date while built-in Advanced Security protects your devices from malware and bad actors.

If you have a large home and want full signal strength everywhere, you don’t need a separate mesh WiFi system. Cox offers Panoramic WiFi Pods at a one-time price of $129.99/Pod which forms a mesh WiFi network with the gateway. You can place the gateway in the living room downstairs and a pod in a bedroom upstairs to eliminate dead spots and increase signal strength throughout the home.

Free From Term Contracts

All Cox Internet plans being offered right now are free from term contracts. There have been discounted offers with term contracts in the past and Cox may bring some in the future, but you always also get a price lock during the term period. Even if you get into a term contract, you’re not immediately locked in.

30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

Cox has a 30-day money-back guarantee for all its internet, TV, and mobile offers. If you’re a new customer and decide to cancel the service within the first 30 days of activation, Cox will refund the first month’s service fee, the standard installation fee, the equipment rental fee, and the cost of any equipment you purchased from Cox. The 30-day money-back guarantee is only available to new customers and doesn’t apply to service transfers.

High-Speed Fiber and Cable Service

Unlike other major cable companies such as Comcast Xfinity and Charter Spectrum—who plan to bring symmetrical speeds to cable via DOCSIS 4.0-based vCMTS—Cox is bringing 100% fiber-powered internet to more areas. It recently acquired United Private Networks, a commercial fiber provider, and is working with local governments to deploy all-fiber networks.

At the same time, Cox has DOCSIS 3.1 across 100% of its footprint, allowing it to provide gig speeds everywhere it serves. Cox is also deploying DOCSIS 4.0 to bring multi-gig speeds; 2-gig is expected to be available in half of its service areas by the end of 2023.

Whether Cox has succeeded in bringing fiber to your area or it’s still providing cable internet, you can expect max speeds of up to 1 gig. And the best part is, the prices are the same whether the internet you get is fiber-coaxial hybrid or 100% fiber.

High Bandwidth Everywhere

Subscribers stand to benefit from Cox’s fiber-powered network even if they opt for a 250 Mbps or 500 Mbps tier. High network bandwidth allows the network to handle more data at all times. This means there’s less congestion and you get high speeds even during peak usage hours.

Cox’s DOCSIS 3.1-based fiber-powered network also enables higher upload speeds than you typically get with cable. The Gig plan features a max upload speed of 35 Mbps while the 2-Gig plan takes it up to 100 Mbps.

In a Nutshell

Cox has launched new offers that allow customers to get a discount of $44.99 on the standard everyday rates of the 500 Mbps and 1 Gbps plans if they add a Cox Mobile line. Cox Mobile Gig Unlimited costs $45 a month for 20 GB of 5G/4G data and unlimited data at 1.5 Mbps max. All internet plans now include Panoramic WiFi. Other features of Cox Internet service such as transparent pricing and a 30-day money-back guarantee remain unchanged.
