Meera Jasmine began her acting career in 2001 with the Malayalam film Soothradharan.
In 2002, she moved into Tamil cinema with Run, where she acted with R. Madhavan. She also appeared in Bala the same year.
In 2003, her work expanded across Malayalam and Tamil films.
