A Tea seller changed his life by farming aloe vera and creating by-products.

Success story: Ajay Swamy, a 31-year-old from Parlika village in Rajasthan, had his life changed by a small idea he read in the newspaper. He came across an article about aloe vera farming and it caught his attention. After his father’s death, he was running a tea stall but wanted to support his family better. When he inherited an acre of land, he decided to try aloe vera cultivation, even though he had no farming experience.

To begin aloe vera farming, Ajay researched online and spoke to other farmers for advice. He bought some plants and used good fertilizers to help them grow. After a year and a half, he harvested his crop, but it was hard to find buyers for it.

To solve this problem, Ajay began making aloe vera juice and other products. As demand increased, he stopped running his tea shop and focused on farming. He learned how to make different aloe vera items, such as soap, shampoo, cream, and sweets, including his most popular product, aloe vera laddu, which costs ₹350 per kg. He learned how to make these products at Krishi Vigyan Kendra.

Ajay created a processing unit on his land and started his own brand. Now, his company sells 45 aloe vera items and earns over ₹10 lakhs per year. His success proves that a good idea, determination, and hard work can help anyone achieve their goals.
