Anjali Pichai, the wife of Sundar Pichai, Google’s CEO, is a renowned figure. She is the spouse of the CEO of one of the largest companies globally. The couple met during their college years at IIT Kharagpur and later tied the knot. Anjali is considered to be Sundar’s fortunate charm. There was a point when Sundar contemplated leaving Google. Allegedly, he was offered the CEO position at Microsoft, and both Twitter and Yahoo approached him with more appealing offers.

Nonetheless, Anjali purportedly advised him against it. Consequently, he opted to remain with Google. In 2015, he assumed the role of CEO at a prominent tech corporation. Years later, Alphabet Inc., the parent company of Google, awarded him an astounding USD 226 million (around Rs 1700 crore) as compensation, which included USD 218 million in stock grants.

Who is Anjali Pichai?

Anjali serves as the Business Operation Manager at Intuit, a US-based software company. She hails from Kota, Rajasthan. Anjali completed her Chemical Engineering degree at the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur (1989-93). Additionally, she worked as a Business Analyst at Accenture for three years (1999-2002). Anjali and Sundar crossed paths during their time at IIT. The couple has two children: a daughter named Kavya and a son named Kiran.
