IPS officer Ravi Mohan Saini, a 14-year-old, met Amitabh Bachchan and became a millionaire. He cracked the UPSC exam twice and has gained the admiration of Amitabh Bachchan. Ravi Saini’s excellence on Kaun Banega Crorepati in 2001 is well-known, and it led to Amitabh Bachchan becoming his fan. Subsequently, Ravi Saini pursued his dream of joining the IPS, and he is currently serving in Gujarat.
It’s worth mentioning that Ravi Mohan Saini, the IPS officer, is also an MBBS graduate and has consistently excelled in academics. Interestingly, he accomplished his achievement of clearing the Civil Services examination through self-study.
During his schooling, Ravi Mohan Saini participated in Kaun Banega Crorepati Junior and won a prize of Rs 1 crore. In an interview, he revealed that his motivation for participating was to meet his idol, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, as he was an ardent fan.
In his interview, he shared, “After completing my schooling, I pursued MBBS at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College in Jaipur. Following my MBBS, I completed my internship and cleared the UPSC exam. Inspired by my father, who served in the Navy, I joined the police force.”
Ravi Mohan Saini made his first attempt at the UPSC exam in 2012 and successfully passed the Preliminary exam, but unfortunately, he couldn’t clear the Main exam. Undeterred, he appeared for the UPSC exam again in 2013 and secured a position in the Indian Post and Telecom, Accounts, and Finance Services. In 2014, he made another attempt and achieved a remarkable All-India Rank of 461, qualifying for the Indian Police Services (IPS). Currently, Ravi Mohan Saini serves as an IPS officer in the Gujarat cadre.
