Nishant Hada, a BTech student from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Hamirpur, made history in 2021 when he secured a job at the US-based company Bloomberg, with a salary package of Rs 1.51 crore. During his pursuit of BTech at NIT Hamirpur, Nishant Hada was chosen by the US-based company.
Devendra Singh Hada, Nishant Hada’s father, holds the position of finance manager at a private firm in Gurugram, Haryana, while his mother, Sarita Singh, serves as a vice-principal. Nishant Hada completed his schooling in Jaipur and achieved a CGPA of 9.55 in his BTech. In 2017, he successfully qualified for JEE Mains and Advanced.
In 2019, Nishant Hada underwent an internship with a German company and three foreign universities. Discussing his selection process with Bloomberg, he mentioned, “In 2020, I applied for an internship at Bloomberg’s Pune office and was chosen after six rounds of interviews for a two-month internship.”

Hada stated that he responded to Bloomberg’s New York office instantly. “After a few weeks, I received a job offer of Rs. 1.51 crore,” Hada added.
It is worth noting that Nishant Hada shattered all placement records at NIT Hamirpur by securing a job offer of Rs 1.5 crore. Prior to him, the highest package offered to a student at NIT Hamirpur was Rs 42 lakh per annum, which was also received by a student from the computer science and engineering department.
