Shah Rukh Khan, the iconic Bollywood actor known for his charm and hard work, has won the hearts of millions worldwide with his attractive personality. For over three decades, he has shared a blissful married life with Gauri Khan, becoming one of Bollywood’s most adored couples.
Back in 1991, the power couple tied the knot, opting for new names during their wedding ceremonies. During the Hindu wedding, Shah Rukh Khan took on the name “Jeetender Kumar Tulli,” a choice inspired by his grandmother’s belief that he resembled veteran actor Rajendra Kumar. This name change was a heartfelt tribute to both Rajendra Kumar and Jeetendra, whose full name is Rajendra Kumar Tulli. Similarly, Gauri chose the name “Ayesha” for her Nikaah ceremony.
Despite facing challenges due to their religious differences, the couple’s love endured, and they stood strong against all odds. Gauri Khan’s mother initially opposed their marriage, but eventually, she came around and agreed to their union. Recalling those early days, Gauri mentioned on the show ‘First Ladies,’ “We were so young, and then to decide to get married, especially to someone joining the film industry and from a different religion.”

In a playful attempt to win over Gauri’s parents, Shah Rukh even changed his name to “Abhinav,” pretending to be a Hindu boy. Looking back, Gauri humorously admitted, “We changed his name to Abhinav so they (her parents) would think he is a Hindu boy, but that was really silly and very childish.”
Their inspiring love story remains a testament to the power of true love and determination, captivating fans across the globe.
