Prerna Jhunjhunwala, an Indian serial entrepreneur, achieved success by establishing a thriving preschool in Singapore. Additionally, she went on to launch an application called Creative Galileo, a startup dedicated to providing educational opportunities for children aged between three and eight years old.
Prerna Jhunjhunwala is a New York University graduate with a degree in science. Her application, Creative Galileo, has been downloaded a remarkable 9 million times in the Indian subcontinent. The application supports children’s education through the use of narrative videos, gamification, and personalized learning journeys, as stated on her LinkedIn profile.
Despite not having any formal business education, Prerna Jhunjhunwala successfully established these companies.
Last year, the company raised approximately Rs 60 crore in a funding round.
Prerna Jhunjhunwala stated that her company raised the funding round at an impressive valuation of 40 million dollars (equivalent to Rs 330 crore).
She mentioned that her company’s growth had been organic, achieved with minimal expenditure on marketing.
At that time, she expressed her intention to expand her team from 30 employees to 60 within a year.
She was also planning to launch the company in Indonesia and Vietnam.
The company has plans to introduce content in regional languages.
Her investor, Vani Kola, commended the app for consistently ranking among the top 20 in the children’s section. She praised Prerna Jhunjhunwala’s unwavering focus and excellent execution.
Her venture in Singapore currently operates seven schools.
She introduced online education as a solution to tackle the increasing population and the shortage of teachers.
