1998 blackbuck poaching case (Rajasthan): Saif Ali Khan was one of the co-accused in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case linked to a film shoot in Rajasthan. In April 2018, Salman Khan was convicted in the case, while Saif Ali Khan and other co-accused were acquitted.

2008 Patiala photojournalist row: In September 2008, reports said a case was registered after a photojournalist alleged he was assaulted during a film shoot in Patiala. The reports also said Saif apologised after protests by local media persons.

2012 Taj Hotel Mumbai brawl case: In February 2012, a businessman alleged that Saif Ali Khan and his friends had an argument with him at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai and that he was assaulted.
