Tiger Shroff Early Life and Education

Tiger Shroff Early Life

Tiger Shroff was born in Bombay (now Mumbai), Maharashtra, India. He grew up in a film family, as the son of veteran actor Jackie Shroff and producer Ayesha Shroff.

Since martial arts and dance were part of his life from an early age, his love for movement and discipline started very early. He began training in Taekwondo and Wushu at the age of four, inspired by Bruce Lee and Michael Jackson.

Before finding his path in Bollywood, Tiger was a stammering, reserved child who found it hard to express himself through words. However, he grew into a highly disciplined and driven young athlete, at one point even aspiring to become a professional football player.

In devotion to his faith, he remains a dedicated follower of Shiva, fasting every Monday, and credits much of his physical and mental discipline to this practice, reflecting the close bond he continues to share with his beliefs.

Education

Tiger Shroff completed his schooling at the American School of Bombay. He then enrolled at Amity University in Noida.

He left college before finishing his degree to focus on his acting career, landing his Bollywood debut in the 2014 film Heropanti.

Tiger Shroff Personal Life

Tiger Shroff Personal Life

Tiger Shroff keeps his love life firmly out of the spotlight. Right now, he’s single — and by his own admission, fully focused on his craft and his gruelling fitness routine rather than romance.

His most talked-about chapter was a long, headline-grabbing connection with actress Disha Patani. The two never confirmed the relationship, and just as quietly, reports surfaced in 2022 that they’d gone their separate ways.

No dramatic fallout, no public statements — just a graceful exit, with a warm bond still intact between Disha and the Shroff family to this day

Rumoured Relationship

  • Disha Patani (2016–2022): Tiger and Disha were Bollywood’s most talked-about rumoured couple for years. Though they frequently vacationed together and made public appearances, neither publicly confirmed their romance. They eventually parted ways but remained close friends, with Disha frequently hanging out with his mother and sister.

  • Deesha Dhanuka (2023): Briefly linked to a senior production executive, Tiger quickly set the record straight by publicly confirming he had actually been single for years, and the dating rumours were unfounded.

Family

Tiger Shroff comes from a prominent, culturally diverse family in the Indian film industry.

Father

Jackie Shroff

His father is Jackie Shroff, a celebrated Bollywood actor of Gujarati and Turkmen descent who has starred in numerous films since the 1980s.

He has been a dominant presence in Hindi cinema for decades, and his legacy of versatility and stardom laid the foundation for Tiger’s own journey into the film industry.

Mother

Ayesha Shroff

His mother is Ayesha Shroff, a former model, actress, and film producer of Bengali and Belgian descent.

She has always been a strong presence in Tiger’s life. He has often spoken about how his mother’s support and grounded nature helped shape the discipline and drive he carries into both his career and his personal life.

Siblings

Krishna Shroff

Tiger Shroff has a younger sister named Krishna Shroff. She is actively involved in fitness and co-owns the Matrix Fight Night (MFN) mixed martial arts promotion alongside him.

Krishna shares a close bond with Tiger, often supporting him publicly and speaking candidly about his life and career. Unlike the deeply personal loss in some family stories, the Shroff siblings’ journey has been one of shared passions — fitness, sport, and a united front in both business and family life.
